BANKSY

England based Bansky is an anonymous artist most commonly known for street art, installation work,  and documentary film. Using spray paint and stencil work; his political, satirical works emulate graffiti and are featured in public spaces all around the globe.

Often using images of rats, children, soldiers, and policemen, his work heavily relies on topical social commentary, and themes of anti-war, anti-capitalism,  and other anti-establishment ideologies.  Banksy is not only an accomplished artist, but also an academy award nominated director for his  2011 film “Exit Through the Gift Shop”.  His work has been regarded as controversial, but despite this his popularity has continued to rise, and create a large following abroad. This success has lead to collaborations with other well known contemporary artists such as Damien Hirst, and Jenny Holzer.
