Kent Knowles received his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design and his Master’s of Fine Art in Art from the University of Georgia. He is the current Associate Chair of Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD Atlanta). Other prior positions include Professor of Painting (SCAD Atlanta), Associate Chair of Foundation Studies (SCAD Atlanta) Associate Dean of Fine Arts and Foundation Studies (SCAD Atlanta), Associate Chair of Foundation Studies, and Professor of Foundation Studies, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD Atlanta). Solo Exhibitions include Passage (Linda Matney Gallery, Williamsburg, Va., 2016), Wayward (Pinnacle Gallery, Savannah, Ga., 2016), and Elsewhere (Kai Lin Art, Atlanta, 2014). Publications include Lucius and the Storm (Red Cygnet Press, 2007).
