STATEMENT
"As an artist, I am sometimes a naturalist, sociologist and spiritualist. In my paintings the natural is often uplifting and approachable, the sociological message for those who deeply engage the work, often seems like 'bad news from the doctor'. When these two impressions merge the spiritual occurs.
Painting should be provocative. I strive to create a sense of being there as well as a sense that you are somewhere else. I also want the observer to be in the moment, which so few of us ever take the time to do. As an artist, it is my ability to take the viewer to these places".
